Our multi-service marketing agency is seeking an experienced and skilled WordPress Developer to join our thriving agency. The ideal candidate will have experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins and the ability to maintain and optimize existing WordPress sites. The candidate should understand web development best practices, including responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility.

THE ROLE:

The WordPress Developer has the following roles and accountabilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality WordPress websites for clients, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to create visually appealing and user-friendly websites.
• Create pages from scratch or customizing WordPress themes and templates using custom fields, page builders (e.g., Elementor, Divi), and other tools.
• Ensure responsive design and optimal performance across various devices and browsers.
• Implement and configure plugins, troubleshoot issues, and optimize website functionality.
• Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to identify and fix bugs or errors.
• Stay updated with the latest web development trends, technologies, and best practices.

YOU BRING:

• At least +3 years of proven experience as a WordPress Developer, Front-end Dev or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your website projects.
• Proficiency in WordPress development, including customizing themes and plugins
• Expertise in page builders such as Elementor or Divi, with the ability to create visually stunning and interactive websites.
• Solid understanding of front-end web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript), responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and website optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with website security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE: 

• Knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with cloud-based hosting platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform
• Understanding of server administration and DevOps best practices
